I was there last in 2007 and I went there with a lot of people who weren't really interested in fashion, so I didn't do a lot of shopping. I will definitely go to Luisaviaroma though ;-)

Hello - me again! Just wanted to say thank you for your Florence tips! I hope I can get to some of the restaurants you mentioned. But unfortunately I don't think I'll have time for the outlets this time.... sigh.
Oh and I really really miss the Weihnachtsmaerkte in Deutschland :( It's not the same... even if the one on Champs-Elysees is beautiful, but the food, Gluehwein and handcrafted items are just so much better over there. I still think Germany is the only place that really knows how to celebrate Christmas (and I also miss that no one over here celebrates Advent!).
It's a parade of elephants, I love it!! This is so perfect against a simple black outfit, those lovely golden elephants are really going to stand out!
