A special trip to Paris

Paris, January 2010
After I decided back in October to apply for a promotion in my job the last months were filled with lots of stressful moments (and more stress in my head:)
Actually I planned to apply for the promotion already last winter but somehow I had not the courage to do it; so this year I knew there was no further excuse for me ;) On the day I applied officially for it I talked to my family that in case I finished everything in January I would go to Paris being the happiest girl in the world and what would a "happy Martina" like to buy in Paris?

(image: weheartit.com)
A black Chanel bag at the Rue Cambon store ... ok, this was my "survival" plan ... and of course I can already tell you ...  I did not buy a black one ;)

Although my family and friends are actually not reading my blog I have to "Thank You" them so much for all their love and support and for simply being always there for me. No matter how old I am:to be at my parents home feels always like a little oasis or a small piece of ideal world.

some snaps of what I wore:

boots: Ann Demeulemeester
leggings: Alaia
silk caftan /dress: Thomas Wylde
jacket: Balenciaga
black sweater: Calvin Klein underwear
bag: Chanel

(I ordered this Thomas Wylde Quixote silk printed kaftan

dress just a few days before I left to Paris

from TheOutnet.com for unbelievable 80% off)

  1. Hello sweetie Martina,

Ur new caftan is too cool. J'adore Ur whole look of course. Perfect!

P.S. I knew about the fact that U will love the deer motivum. We are a huge fan of animal prints. Let it be an accessory or a dress. Don't U think?

I believe I was too late this year to get some nice pieces in the Paris sales. We had everything from sunshine to rain ... but it was not so cold that weekend. At the moment we have -8°C here ...brrrh ..

  14. hello sweet Martina!

yea, i heard it's really cold where you are, and where everywhere that has 4 seasons is really cold now. i was thinking about a short trip next month before school starts. i'd prefer a cold place but it can be tough if i travel alone. i'm not familiar with european countries so i should play safe.

nice bling-bling kaftan there and i like the grey of the bal jacket.

Mietzekatze looked like he's crying! overjoyed or jealous of your new chanel buy? ;)

  32. Hi Athena!

Awwh ;)... so nice to see it´s you!
    How are you doing?
I simply needed an "idea in my head to survive" ;) Oh, I have nothing to do with the fashion industry, i´m in the "educational business" ;) .. so fashion is just a little welcome change.
Hope you was able to get your hands on your Lanvin vintage necklace, Athena!;) I still remember how much you loved it!
Sending you lots of hugs & kisses to you and your family!!!
Enjoy the rest of the week and stay warm and healthy!!!!!!!
