This Is It ...

Such a strange "touched" day...

Actually I just wanted to wish you this friday "Happy Holidays"...

June 26th, 2009 ... a day everyone is talking about
Michael Jackson´s death: "Did you hear...?".. "Did you hear..?"
I honestly have to confess I was never a huge fan of him,
sadly he was more a mirror of a lost soul for me... but somehow
is death really touched me...maybe he was more a part of my "childhood"
than I imagined...

Growing up in the 80ths I liked his songs but never bought any of his albums
or singles.
Until June 26th 2009 when I downloaded a few of his songs ...
took me a long time ...

A look at iTunes... 7 of his albums are in the Top 10.

  1. "He was more of a mirror of a lost soul for me"--how true and how beautifully stated, Martina.

  2. I think it's sad.
Somehow he was an icon that desapears and some of my youth referencies go with him, or stay despite of his passing.
I hope that he can find the peace that seems he never found while on this dimension.
    RIP MJ!

    Love to U and blessings

  4. Growing up in the 80's I must admit I only really got into MJ with 'Black & White', as my parents deemed him too 'naughty' for me (with all the crotch-grabbing & such....) In the 90's and 'noughties' (2000's), I loved loved loved his older music (especially Jackson 5), and am a huge fan...I wake up every morning to his 'Rock with You' song, as I absolutely adore it!

His life seemed so so sad, and yesterday was too. MJ RIP.

  5. That's such a tragedy.... First I though it's a joke - just like the false news of Patrick Swayze's departure... But it's true.

The King of Pop has left the building - forever.

I grew up with his music and it has surrounded me in the different phases of my life.
I was singing to his songs in the radio, dancin to the "dance classics" like "Rock with you", "Get on the Floor", "Don't stop 'til you get enough", "It's the Falling Love" and and and...
Even if the last years were full of discussions he was and he will always be the biggest artist in the world, nobody has sold more records ever. And we won't see another superstar as huge as a Michael Jackson.
    May he rest in peace.
